SQM, global procurement solution expert of casting and forging

SQM is founded in Shanghai in 2014 by Johnny Zhao, who has been in the foundry industry since 2003 and then started his own business. In the past ten years, SQM has grown from two people to a team of 45 employees and has stable cooperation with 42 suppliers across the country.

SQM engineering team and QC team assist customers in finding technical solutions and ensuring quality efficiently. SQM project teams actively communicate with customers to understand their needs and updates feedback timely. SQM logistics teams keep tracking the logistics situation and ensure that the goods are delivered to the customers punctually.

With professional knowledge and quality service, SQM has been trusted by 130+ global industrial equipment manufacturers in EU and North American in various industries, including agricultural machinery, construction machinery, truck and trailer, automotive technology, pump and valve, rail transportation and energy. From 2022 to 2023, the turnover of SQM keeps increasing from 12million Euro to 17 million Euro.

Casting Simulation:

For parts with complex structure, SQM adopts casting simulation to analyze and evaluate in advance to improve the success rate of product development, helping customer minimize defect to save time and cost.

Welding to Casting:

SQM converts welded structures into newly developed castings or optimizes castings and forgings based on 3D and 2D drawings/AutoCAD, assisting customers to get high-quality products in an efficient way.

3D Printing:

SQM uses 3D printing technology to produce SAS samples speedily, especially during the research and development stage of new products.

Stable cooperative Partners:

SQM works stably with 25 investment casting factories, 28 sand casting factories, 10 die casting/low pressure and gravity casting factories, 15 forging factories, 20 machining factories and other surface/heat treatment factories.

Cost reduction:

SQM adopts new technology casting process, instead of silica sol process to save the production cost, with a tolerance of CT 5-7 and a surface of Ra 6.3-12.5 um.

Various materials:

SQM has a wide variety of materials, high strength, and quality in line with German standards.

Engineer Team:

SQM has 10+ experienced qualified engineers in charge of monitoring production, solving issues and providing technical support on-site at cooperative factories.

Quality Inspection:

SQM engineers collaborates with factory engineers to conduct chemical, metallurgical and mechanical testing to ensure the delivery of high-quality products.

Flexible Incoterms:

SQM provides customers flexible complete Incoterms based on their demands, including FCA, FOB, CIF, DAP and DDP.

Multiple modes of transportation：

SQM has stable cooperative freight forwarders that provide sea, rail, truck and air transportation, from full container transportation (FCL) to small less than container transportation (LCL) and other options.

Nearest Warehouse service:

SQM provides customers with nearby warehouse service, ensuring the products are delivered at the right time and at the right place.

Risk-free payment:

Customer would not be charged any advanced payments by SQM. From new product development, sample production, to mass production, customer pays the sample fee or product fee after confirming and satisfying with the quality.

Multilingual support:

SQM works together with natives in EU countries, incl. Germany, France, Spain, Swiss, Ireland and USA to provide communicate support and respond promptly to the customer needs.

5Y& 8D:

SQM team adopts 5 Whys Technique to conduct in-depth and comprehensive analysis of product and production issues, from technology, production to delivery.
